Description
As part of the funding of measures within the framework of local and regional development, the state of Carinthia provides a non-repayable grant available indefinitely to support strategy and planning processes, implementation measures, as well as the construction and expansion of children's playgrounds. Eligible for funding are private individuals, companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions that aim to advance regional funding, urban development & urban renewal, smart cities & regions, digitalization, energy efficiency & renewable energies, as well as agriculture & rural development in Carinthia. Applications can be submitted continuously until the funds are exhausted. The funding covers 50% to 75% of eligible expenses, including services, material and personnel costs, travel expenses, and investment costs. Requirements include a signed application with a project description and financing plan, a written funding commitment prior to the start of measures, as well as compliance with the ORE guideline and the implementation provisions for playground funding.
Projects supported include awareness-raising, concept development, feasibility studies, and guiding principles for high-quality local and regional development, as well as concrete implementation measures to strengthen regional cooperation and infrastructure. The focus is also on innovative initiatives for digital networking, energy and climate protection optimization, and inter-municipal approaches for future-oriented public services. The goal is sustainable, integrated development of living and economic spaces in urban and rural regions, as well as an improvement in local quality of life. Selection criteria center on alignment with funding objectives, cost-effectiveness and appropriateness of expenses, completeness of documentation, and professional coordination with the responsible authorities. Processing is based on invoices and payment confirmations according to the VAT Act, as well as a final project report.
