Funding of Measures within the Framework of Local and Regional Development - ORE Funding

The ORE funding supports high-quality local and regional development processes in Carinthia by specifically promoting strategy and planning projects, implementation measures, as well as new and expansion measures for publicly accessible children's playgrounds. Public institutions, non-profit organizations, and private actors based or responsible in Carinthia can apply for financial aid in the form of grants. The focus is on the development of guiding principles, studies, and concepts that strengthen regional value chains, modernize infrastructure, and create sustainable living environments. Child-friendly design of rural areas is also central, aiming to support families and especially children and youth in their communities.

The funding instrument offers ongoing application opportunities without fixed submission deadlines and is aimed at municipalities, municipal companies, volunteer associations, as well as private project sponsors. Supported are, for example, awareness-raising processes, innovative infrastructure projects in the sense of Smart Cities & Regions, digitally supported work and social projects, as well as agricultural and forestry initiatives in rural areas. Submissions are made based on the Carinthian Regional Development Act and the ORE guidelines, which ensure a factual and financial review of project funding. By combining strategic planning and concrete implementation, the funding contributes to sustainably increasing the attractiveness of Carinthia's economic and living environment and promoting the participation of all residents in forward-looking development goals.
