Funding of measures according to the guidelines for urban landscape maintenance

The city of Bretten in Baden-Württemberg provides a continuous grant program within the framework of its municipal guidelines for urban image maintenance, supporting both private and public construction projects equally. The aim of this funding is the sustainable care and preservation of the historic and character-defining appearance of the cityscape. Eligible applicants are owners as well as authorized users of buildings and structural facilities within the city area who contribute to the enhancement of the local image through construction measures, restorations, or repairs. Both listed monuments and modern buildings can be funded, provided that the measures have not yet commenced at the time of application and the municipal guidelines are acknowledged.

All costs incurred for construction measures and repairs according to the cost estimate are eligible for funding. Applications can be submitted at any time via the city of Bretten’s online form server; a completed application form for urban image maintenance, a detailed cost estimate, and – if applicable – proof of monument protection status are required. After review by the administration, eligible expenses will be subsidized proportionally. The program is aimed equally at private individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, and public institutions and makes a valuable contribution to the long-term preservation of the attractiveness of Bretten’s town centers. Recognition of the guidelines for urban image maintenance is a prerequisite for receiving funding and jointly preserving the city’s historic heritage.
