Funding of measures/projects for waste prevention, recycling, or re-use

The funding initiative of the State of Salzburg is aimed at non-profit organizations such as associations and NGOs based in the Salzburg region and contributes to significantly reducing the amount of waste generated. The focus is on measures for waste prevention, product recycling, and the reuse of waste. Also considered are information and awareness-raising events that embed the topic of waste prevention and recycling within the population. Funding is provided as a grant and can be applied for continuously, provided the application is submitted before the start of the planned measures via the general application form of the State of Salzburg. Applicants benefit from a straightforward submission process and flexible deadlines, as the call for proposals is open without a time limit.

Successful application requires a comprehensible presentation of the planned projects as well as compliance with the general funding conditions of the State of Salzburg. To be submitted are, among other documents, the completed application form, proof of the legal status of the organization (statutes, bylaws), the budget for the current fiscal year including the latest financial statement, and a detailed financing plan with total costs, in-kind contributions, other funding commitments, and the requested state funding. The submission is supplemented by written declarations regarding access to accounting records and data protection, as well as the obligation to provide original invoices and proof of payment. This ensures that the funding is used purposefully and achieves sustainable impact.
