Description
The funding is aimed at natural persons residing in the state of Brandenburg who are starting beekeeping for the first time and wish to care for up to three bee colonies. The goal is the ecological strengthening of pollination services through the targeted expansion of new beekeeping operations. Investments in initial equipment according to a specified list of investment goods are supported – from hives and frames to honey extractors, scales, and smokers, as well as protective clothing and accessories. The maximum investment volume is €2,500, of which up to 40% (up to €1,000) will be reimbursed. The de minimis threshold is €500, with a minimum total investment of €1,250. A prerequisite is the successful completion of a beginner’s course in theory and practice within the last twelve months or an equivalent agricultural educational pathway. The beekeeping operation must be registered with the responsible Food Monitoring and Veterinary Office, and no comparable EU funding must have been received in the past six years.
Applications can be submitted in the funding year 2026 from January 1 to December 31 in writing to the State Office for Rural Development, Agriculture and Land Consolidation (LELF), Department F2 – Approval. The application must include the completed application form, the de minimis declaration, proof of the beginner’s course or agricultural educational pathway, a copy of the identity card, cost estimates, the registration number of the beekeeping operation, and consent to data processing. After positive approval, invoices and payment receipts can be submitted digitally; the original signatures required for payment must additionally be sent by post. Participants thus benefit from uncomplicated application procedures and a targeted grant to secure and promote bee colonies in Brandenburg.
