Description

Within the framework of the Low-Emission Mobility Program of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, this call for proposals supports the acquisition and installation of stationary, controllable charging stations (max. 22 kW) for outpatient social services. Eligible to apply are companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions that provide social counseling, care, and similar services for elderly, ill, or disabled individuals in a home environment. A fixed amount of €1,500 is provided per charging point. The objective is to supply service vehicles with renewable electricity from green power contracts or own photovoltaic systems, thereby promoting climate protection and energy efficiency. The guideline is continuously open until December 31, 2026; applications can be submitted online via the NRW funding portal. The installation must not be used exclusively to fulfill public-law obligations (e.g., GEIG) and must be installed by specialist companies in compliance with the Charging Station Ordinance.

Funding is provided for, among other things, charging stations/wall boxes, power electronics, authentication and payment systems, load and energy management systems, as well as associated communication and civil engineering work including foundations and grid connection. For application, a detailed offer, PIN code procedure, project description, de minimis declaration, and proof of the green power contract are required. After a positive application review, the funding notice is issued; only then may work commence. Upon completion of the measure, payment can be requested via the proof of use. Through this measure, the state makes a concrete contribution to the decarbonization of outpatient social services and enables a sustainable expansion of the charging infrastructure in North Rhine-Westphalia.
