Description
The funding program "Support for Projects in Education for Sustainable Development and Environmental Education in Bavaria (FöR-PrBNE)" is aimed at public institutions, non-profit organizations, interest groups, and educational institutions in the Free State of Bavaria. The objective is the implementation of non-commercial projects to develop high-quality educational offerings in the field of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Environmental Education (EE). Projects that strengthen environmental awareness, convey ecological interrelationships, and promote sustainable actions are supported. Up to 70% of the eligible total expenses can be covered, with a minimum funding amount of EUR 5,000. The continuous application possibility allows for flexible project planning, as applications can be submitted to the responsible district government throughout the year before the start of the measure.
Eligible for funding are legal entities with headquarters and business operations in Bavaria that can demonstrably prove professional competence in the field of ESD/EE and align themselves with the guiding principle of sustainable development. Projects of ideologically influenced institutions as well as initiatives that have already begun before the application are excluded. Eligible expenses include the preparation, implementation, and follow-up of educational events, the testing of innovative learning formats (especially state-recognized environmental centers), as well as the organization and moderation of network meetings. Required documents for the application include, among others: application for grant approval, financing plan and cost calculation (Annexes 1 & 2), detailed project description (Annex 3), compilation of educational elements (Annex 4), proof of professional competence (Annex 5), as well as proof of use with corresponding income and expenditure overview. Project selection is based on the quality of the educational offerings, their level of innovation, and their contribution to strengthening environmental awareness and sustainable action.
