Funding of projects of the Blind Foundation "White Cane" Berlin

The “White Cane” Blind Foundation Berlin supports charitable initiatives of self-help groups for the blind and visually impaired in Berlin. As a continuously open grant opportunity, it funds projects in the areas of social affairs, health, counseling, as well as work & social affairs and counseling & business financing. Financial resources are provided exclusively upon application by the General Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired Berlin (ABSV) to ensure direct benefit for those affected. Allocation is carried out by a jury composed of experienced self-help representatives, who are committed to ensuring that tailored projects achieve sustainable impact.

Interested charitable organizations may submit applications on an ongoing basis for initiatives that promote self-help groups, informational services, or counseling projects for blind and visually impaired individuals. The goal is to create planning security for forward-looking concepts and to secure their implementation economically. Through close cooperation with the ABSV, a network is formed that combines professional expertise with local anchoring. This not only contributes to improving the quality of life for the visually impaired but also strengthens their self-determination and social participation.
