Funding of Projects (Germany & Africa) of the Lukas Sperling Foundation

The Lukas Sperling Foundation continuously supports projects in development cooperation and diverse aid initiatives in Germany and Africa. The focus is on the establishment and maintenance of schools, the provision of microcredits, as well as the organization of meetings, seminars, and public relations work. Funded are initiatives in the fields of education, training and further education, women's empowerment, agriculture, and rural development, as well as consulting, business financing, labor, and social affairs. Application documents may be submitted at any time, as the foundation awards ongoing grants and decides flexibly on the use of funds. The foundation’s goal is to advance global justice and support sustainable, community-oriented development processes.

Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, educational institutions, public institutions, interest groups, as well as other associations based or with project locations in Germany or Africa. A prerequisite for a grant is tax-privileged status and a clear project reference to development cooperation or humanitarian aid measures. The foundation selects its partners at its own discretion and according to the availability of funds. Interested civil society actors from the aforementioned fields are invited to submit innovative and sustainable concepts in order to jointly achieve long-term impact on site and realize the foundation’s objectives enshrined in its statutes.
