Description
The funding supports Salzburg-based companies and educational institutions in sustainably expanding knowledge and technology transfer with regional research institutions. Grants co-finance projects that are not supported under the Trans4Tec guideline, including COMET-K projects of the FFG, Christian Doppler Laboratories, as well as activities from the EU Framework Programme. Additionally, public awareness measures for research and development (e.g., Long Night of Research, uni:hautnah) receive financial support. This initiative strengthens the innovation capacity of Salzburg’s economy on the one hand, and increases the visibility of research results in society on the other. The funding is continuously available, allowing flexible project planning without fixed deadlines.
For an application, a general funding request with a detailed project description must be submitted, and for co-financed projects, a summary of the project including already received funding commitments. Compliance with the General Guidelines for the Granting of Funding by the State of Salzburg is a prerequisite. In the case of national or European co-financing, prior coordination with the responsible funding agency is also required. Through transparent processing and clear structuring of funding requirements, an efficient procedure is ensured, enabling companies and research institutions in Salzburg to engage in more intensive collaboration in the long term.
