Funding of projects with educational-didactic references to political education

Within the framework of this funding initiative, extracurricular projects in Vienna are supported that have a pedagogical-didactic connection to political education and peace education. Eligible to apply are non-profit organizations as well as educational institutions engaged in fields such as education, social cohesion, democracy, vocational & further training, and work & social affairs. The funding is provided as a grant and is open-ended in terms of time: submissions are accepted on an ongoing basis. This allows initiatives to respond flexibly to current needs and to offer children and young people a lively access to democratic processes.

The funding objective is to strengthen political participation and peace competence through practice-oriented offerings. Examples of supported projects include museum-educational accompaniment of school classes at memorial sites, youth participation projects in political decision-making processes, and workshops for peace-educational work. Applications must include a precise project description, a detailed cost estimate, and the fully completed application form. The grant not only enhances the substantive quality but also increases organizational planning security. This initiative invites providers of extracurricular educational programs to expand their commitment to democratic education and to create sustainable learning environments for young people.
