Description
This state funding is aimed at recognized local contact points in Hesse – including volunteer agencies under independent or municipal sponsorship as well as municipalities – that design and implement qualification and coordination offers for civic and voluntary engagement in the social sector. The grant supports the realization of practical programs that cover both cross-association focal points such as volunteer management and group leadership, as well as specific needs of individual initiatives. Through targeted collaboration with local clubs and educational providers, a tailored curriculum is developed that professionally strengthens volunteers, connects local networks, and contributes to the sustainable strengthening of local structures.
Participation in the funding program requires registration by October 31 of the previous year; formal applications must be submitted to the Darmstadt Regional Council by January 15 for the first half-year and by July 1 for the second half-year. Eligible expenses include costs for developing local qualification concepts (up to €2,000), implementation and financial processing of individual measures (up to €85 per measure), as well as fees for teaching units (up to €35/45 minutes, in justified exceptional cases up to €50). Prerequisites are recognition as a local contact point by the Hessian Ministry of Social Affairs and Integration, cooperation with local clubs/associations, a minimum participant number of seven persons, and timely submission of the proof of use and survey forms by February 1 of the following year.
