Description

The Stiftung – Dein Zuhause hilft supports non-profit organizations and public institutions in North Rhine-Westphalia with grants for social neighborhood projects. The goal is to establish places of encounter, strengthen neighborhood cohesion, and implement concrete support services directly within the district. Funding is provided for initiatives in the areas of social affairs, commitment to social cohesion and democracy, education, as well as vocational training and further education. In close cooperation with municipalities, non-profit associations, social partners, and other stakeholders, gaps in services are closed and permanent contact points are established that benefit families, single parents, children, youth, seniors, and people with disabilities.

Funding applications can be submitted continuously; for the municipalities of Cologne, Bonn, Frechen, Dortmund, Bochum, and Witten, the deadline is February 28, 2026. A prerequisite is the submission of a detailed project proposal including information on project objectives, target group, location, duration, description of measures, cost calculation, and follow-up financing. Additionally, the statutes, current tax exemption certificate, as well as for projects involving children and youth, recognition as a provider of independent youth welfare and a protection concept against sexualized violence must be submitted. There is no legal entitlement to funding.
