Description

The state of Tyrol supports school-related language project weeks and exchange programs throughout Tyrol, specifically targeting school classes from the 5th to the 12th or 13th grade. The focus is on acquiring intercultural competencies, expanding communicative skills, and raising awareness of cultural diversity in Europe. The initiatives can be implemented as multi-day language trips with or without attending a language school or as organized school visits to partner schools abroad in Europe. Through thematic workshops, cultural excursions, and project-oriented lessons, participants gain new perspectives on linguistic nuances and ways of life beyond their home region. Funding is provided straightforwardly as a direct grant, with free and continuous application possible.

Eligible for funding are educational institutions in Tyrol that submit a fully completed application in writing to the Department of Early Childhood Education and General Education before the start of the project. A minimum stay of five days is required to ensure intensive exchange and sustainable learning outcomes. This program is situated within the thematic fields of Education as well as Training & Further Education and offers schools planning security through ongoing funding opportunities without time limitation. With this initiative, the state of Tyrol supports the regional educational landscape in strengthening the linguistic and intercultural education of its students and in building long-term cross-border networks.
