Activities and projects aimed at increasing research, technology, and innovation (RTI) are funded. This is intended to enable the establishment and strengthening of non-university research institutions and non-profit organizations.

Description
The funding aims to support non-university research institutions and non-profit associations in Vienna in the implementation of activities and projects to enhance research, technology, and innovation (RTI). Direct grants are continuously available to advance innovative initiatives in the fields of research & innovation as well as science. Eligible applicants are educational institutions and non-profit organizations engaged in the development of new technologies, interdisciplinary research approaches, or the strengthening of existing RTI structures. The continuous submission option allows for flexible responses to different project cycles and funding needs.
Measures that enable the establishment, expansion, or qualitative improvement of non-university research infrastructures are supported. A prerequisite is activity in the field of research, technology, and innovation as well as compliance with the framework conditions set out in the ARR 2014. The program thus pursues the overarching goal of increasing RTI intensity and strengthening the competitiveness of the Austrian research location in the long term. The targeted strengthening of associations and institutions is intended to accelerate innovations, promote interdisciplinary networks, and create a sustainable foundation for scientific excellence in Vienna.
