Description

The program for the promotion of inter-company vocational training centers (ÜBS) in Hesse supports public and non-profit organizations in their investments to modernize, expand, and further develop their extracurricular training locations. Funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and state funds, both equipment and construction projects as well as model projects for the establishment of competence centers are supported. The goal is to increase the training willingness and capacity of small and medium-sized enterprises and to create contemporary learning conditions for participants in vocational further education and training.

Eligible recipients are public law corporations and other non-profit legal entities that carry out measures for vocational education and training. Expenditures in cost groups 200 to 700 according to DIN 276 as well as equipment items according to the procurement plan are funded. The funding rate is generally between 50% and 90%, depending on the funding area, own contribution, and agreement with other funding providers. Projects must be located in Hesse or – for specialized offers – outside, provided that at least 10% of the participants come from Hesse. For equipment projects, binding periods of five years apply, for modernizations 15 years, and for new constructions 25 years. Applications can be submitted continuously online via the WIBank customer portal; among other requirements, notification of the project to the Hessian Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport, Housing and Regional Development, proof of economic efficiency, and a declaration regarding economic activities according to Art. 107 TFEU are required.
