Description
Purpose and Objective of Funding: The funding program supports non-profit organizations and public institutions in the construction and adaptation of sports infrastructure of particular significance to Burgenland sports, as well as in the organization of major events of supraregional interest. Up to 80% of construction and planning costs, recognized eligible material and approval expenses, as well as cost estimates, can be funded per project. The funding period extends over a maximum of 24 months, with applications able to be submitted at any time without a deadline and approved on a continuous basis. This aims to ensure comprehensive expansion of sports facilities as well as the strengthening of major sporting highlights in the region.
Eligibility and Application Procedures: Applicant clubs, professional associations, and municipalities must submit a detailed project concept including construction description, plans, official approvals, cost and financing plan, as well as an income-expenditure budget. Proof of accessibility is required by the selection process, as are cost estimates for all planned services. Commercial or school sports facilities, club and catering rooms, as well as land purchases, are not eligible for funding. Upon positive decision, the submitted invoices and payment proofs are reviewed and up to 80% of the recognized expenses are disbursed, with the remaining funds paid upon submission of a completion certificate. This transparent procedure provides planning security and promotes sustainable sports facility development in Burgenland.
