Funding of Implementation Concepts for Electromobility

The promotion of implementation concepts for electromobility supports municipalities, districts, public institutions, companies, private individuals, as well as associations and clubs in North Rhine-Westphalia in the design of strategic measures to broaden electromobility. Funding is provided for the creation of neutral and independent implementation concepts by qualified consultants with proven references from the past two years. The measures include at least one of the following focal points: procurement of battery-electric or fuel cell vehicles, establishment of standard charging points or fast charging points, as well as commercial vehicle concepts. Applications are possible until December 31, 2026, with a project duration of up to 18 months. Funding is granted as co-financing amounting to 50% to 90% of eligible consulting expenses, with caps ranging between €10,000 and €90,000. No payment is made below a de minimis threshold of €500.

Prerequisites for the grant are the submission of the application prior to the start of consulting, the creation of a concept by external experts, and the submission of cost estimates, offers, project descriptions, and reference evidence. Only expenses for external consulting are funded; investments in vehicles or charging infrastructure are not eligible. The concepts must contain concrete recommendations for action related to the respective location and make a significant contribution to energy efficiency and climate protection. In the selection process, neutrality, independence, the qualification of the consultants, and the location relevance of the recommendations are evaluated. After positive review and final proof of use, the approved grant amount will be disbursed.
