Promotion of environmentally and climate-friendly agriculture, preservation of cultural landscapes, nature conservation, and landscape management (KULAP 2022)

The funding program "KULAP 2022" in the Free State of Thuringia provides targeted support as a grant for agricultural enterprises aiming for environmentally and climate-friendly management. The focus is on securing biodiversity, preserving and maintaining cultural landscapes, as well as measures for nature and climate protection. Eligible applicants are private individuals and companies based in Thuringia who manage their land themselves. Operators of micro-enterprises or small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can benefit from additional concessions for selected measures. Funding areas include Agriculture & Rural Development, Environmental/Nature Conservation, as well as Energy Efficiency & Climate Protection. Applications are submitted annually by May 15 as a collective application via the digital application portal PORTIA of the Thuringian State Office for Agriculture and Rural Areas.

Requirements for approval include, among other things, proof of the business location in Thuringia, commitment to implementing the requested measure for at least five years, and a minimum funding area of 50 square meters. The project duration is up to 60 months. The grant amount is determined by the scope of the measures and the verified land use in the application year. The objective is to use natural resources such as soil, water, and air sustainably, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and actively preserve cultural landscapes.
