Description
The funding of Viennese educational neighborhoods is aimed at non-profit legal entities based in Vienna that have been nominated by an accredited educational neighborhood. The goal is to strengthen cross-institutional cooperation, public relations, and the implementation of small projects within the Viennese districts. Applying organizations can request a grant of up to EUR 4,000 once per year, with a maximum project duration of twelve months. Eligible expenses include networking across multiple institutions, joint activities and events, as well as small projects in accordance with the approved educational neighborhood concept and its seven core principles. Individual acquisitions, ongoing activities outside the purpose of the educational neighborhood, and non-earmarked personnel expenses are not funded.
The application can be submitted online at any time via the MA 13 form and must include the following documentation: an income-expenditure statement, a project description with objectives and action plan, a signed consent declaration (ID Austria), as well as statutes, association register or company register excerpt, and a photo ID of the authorized representative. Prerequisites are accreditation in the Viennese educational neighborhood, nomination by the project management, and joint implementation of the project by at least two institutions. The evaluation is based on content-related, formal, and financial criteria, particularly effectiveness, networking, and compliance with ethical core principles. Upon positive funding approval, the payment will be transferred cashlessly to the specified account. The proof of use must be submitted electronically within three months after project completion and documented with a booking journal, receipts, a factual report, and ID Austria signature. Unused funds must be repaid within 14 days.
