Funding of additional forest projects (Future Forest Foundation)

The Zukunft Wald Foundation is committed to sustainably advancing environmental and forest projects in Lower Saxony while setting diverse focal points. Through continuous grants, initiatives in the fields of environmental education, nature conservation, and biodiversity are supported, strengthening awareness of ecological interrelationships at regional locations. Whether experiential trails, upcycling activities with the jay, or exhibitions such as “Fascination Ant” – funded projects offer practical learning environments where participants actively explore the forest world and develop their own environmental competencies. By combining educational elements with practical impulses, the funding simultaneously contributes to rural development as well as to measures for energy efficiency and climate protection.

Eligible for support are non-profit, public, and educational institutions based or with project locations in Lower Saxony that can demonstrate a clear connection to forest pedagogy or environmental education. In particular, schools, kindergartens, and educational providers find here an uncomplicated opportunity to implement their own forest and environmental topics. Applications can be submitted continuously; required documents include a detailed project description and the completed contact form. In this way, the State Forest Foundation creates framework conditions that allow committed actors to realize forward-looking concepts and make an active contribution to the preservation of natural diversity.
