Description
Purpose of Funding
This state funding supports the construction of single-family homes as well as terraced and semi-detached houses in Upper Austria. Monthly subsidies for mortgage loans from the Upper Austrian Landesbank AG are granted, and alternatively, a one-time, non-repayable construction grant amounting to 36% of the loan subsidy is paid out. Eligible applicants include natural persons, commercial developers, and non-profit housing associations who use the new residential units as their primary residence. Applications can be submitted at any time before construction begins, thereby ensuring continuous planning security throughout the entire project duration of up to 240 months.
Requirements and Scope
To apply, the plot to be developed must be owned by the applicant, and the primary residence must be established in the subsidized home. Additionally, certain income limits must not be exceeded. Eligible expenses include mortgage loans and construction costs; the one-time construction grant corresponds to 36% of the subsidized loan amount. The following documents must be attached: current land register excerpt, legally binding building permit, colored copy of the approved building plan, proof of income from the previous year, confirmation from the tax office regarding family allowance receipt, and – in the case of barrier-free construction – a report from the Upper Austrian Energy Saving Association. This funding makes a significant contribution to strengthening private housing construction and to sustainable urban and regional development in Upper Austria.
