Description
The guideline for quality improvement of private rooms in Vorarlberg is aimed at private individuals who, together with their household members, rent out up to ten beds to constantly changing guests. A prerequisite is a listing of at least three years via the room verification of the local tourism organization. Investments with a verifiable expenditure of at least €5,000 up to a maximum of €30,000 are eligible for funding, whereby a one-time grant amounting to 10% of the eligible costs is granted. Applicants submit their documents to the responsible local municipality before the start of the investment, which reviews the project, disburses the funding, and subsequently applies for the state share at the Department of General Economic Affairs (VIa).
Eligible are in particular the construction or complete renewal of sanitary facilities, the conversion of private rooms into holiday apartments with kitchens, the modernization of guest rooms including entrance areas, as well as investments in operational infrastructure to improve the quality of stay. Excluded are, for example, land acquisition, maintenance and repair costs, personnel costs, own contributions, and used fixed assets. The goal of the cooperation between the state and municipalities is to sustainably strengthen the competitiveness of tourist private room rentals in Vorarlberg.
