Funding from the Road Safety Fund

The Carinthian Traffic Safety Fund continuously provides financial grants for projects that promote safe coexistence in road traffic. Initiatives by private individuals, companies, non-profit organizations, and public institutions are supported, with a focus on traffic education and active mobility concepts. The goal is to increase overall traffic safety in Carinthia as well as to specifically protect children and young people. The funding areas cover education, work & social affairs, as well as training and further education, offering diverse opportunities for the development of innovative local measures.

Applications can be submitted at any time until the fund’s budget is fully allocated. A prerequisite for approval is a written application complying with the established funding criteria and adherence to project and application deadlines. Upon completion of the funded measure, the preparation of a final report is required to receive the payment. The fund is based on the provisions of § 131a of the Motor Vehicle Act 1967, thereby providing a reliable legal foundation. Through this funding, Carinthia makes a sustainable contribution to traffic safety and strengthens the participants’ sense of responsibility for safe everyday life on the roads.
