Description

The BioHöfe Foundation supports nationwide non-profit initiatives that promote the preservation and strengthening of the soil as a natural basis of life. Funding is provided for research projects on organic farming, cultural projects related to agriculture, as well as measures for monument and nature conservation on agricultural estates. Additionally, projects for landscape maintenance in connection with organic farming may receive a grant. Overall, the funding aims to deepen scientific knowledge, set cultural impulses, and sustainably preserve historic farm structures in an ecological manner. A special focus is placed on projects that make an innovative contribution to climate and environmental protection while simultaneously integrating cultural or educational aspects.

Applications can be submitted to the BioHöfe Foundation on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, educational institutions, foundations, companies, and cooperatives, provided the project has a clear connection to organic farming. The selection of projects is based on the planned impact in the defined funding areas: environmental/nature conservation, agriculture and rural development, research and innovation, education, culture, as well as energy efficiency and climate protection. The foundation grants subsidies and supports applicants through a transparent decision-making process. In doing so, it offers farmers, cultural practitioners, research institutions, and other non-profit actors a reliable source of funding to implement forward-looking projects related to organic agricultural culture.
