Funding by the Homann Foundation

The Homann Foundation supports non-profit organizations, public institutions, and individuals based in or connected to projects in Hamburg who aim to effect sustainable change. In the focus areas of living in old age, empowering youth, as well as climate and environmental protection, projects are funded that strengthen people in difficult life situations and generate long-term positive effects on society and the environment. Both established associations and committed individuals receive grants, provided that non-profit status is proven or a personal situation justifying the funding is presented. Applications can be submitted continuously and are directed at social initiatives, educational programs, or technical measures for energy efficiency and climate preparedness in the Hamburg area.

An independent advisory board decides on the submitted documents twice a year, in April and November, to ensure timely allocation of funds. These regular decision dates allow project sponsors to plan their initiatives flexibly and quickly begin implementation. The goal is to create sustainable impulses that promote coexistence through intergenerational offerings and address ecological challenges.
