Funding of Section II for Projects in the Field of Agriculture

From December 1, 2025, the funding provided by Section II will support natural and legal persons throughout Austria who wish to implement innovative projects in the field of agriculture and rural development. Non-repayable grants of up to a total volume of €0.4 million are available, which will be awarded within the framework of individual funding agreements (standard contract BMF) in accordance with § 5 ARR 2014. Eligible applicants include private individuals, companies, cooperatives, non-profit organizations, public institutions, interest groups, associations, foundations, as well as start-ups. The funding aims to strengthen multifunctional, crisis-resilient agricultural and rural structures and to ensure comprehensive food supply coverage.

The grant targets projects that promote the sustainable and competitive development of modern agricultural enterprises while simultaneously enhancing the vitality of urban-rural regions. The objective is to stabilize family-run farms and consolidate Austrian sales markets. Funds will be allocated until the total volume is exhausted, with each application being individually reviewed and approved based on the Federal Framework Guideline ARR 2014. This initiative establishes a solid foundation to anchor environmentally and economically friendly measures in agriculture over the long term and to drive innovation forward.
