Description

The Sparkassen Foundation Doing Good – Donor Network of Sparkasse Karlsruhe has been a key player in social engagement in Baden-Württemberg since its founding in July 2009. With an endowment capital of 500,000 euros, initiated by Sparkasse Karlsruhe, this institution enables nonprofit organizations to engage philanthropically and realize projects in various forms as a connected donor network. The concept is based on the idea that all proceeds – or, in the case of a consumption foundation, also the foundation’s assets – purposefully support 13 individually defined funding objectives, ranging from youth and elderly care to art and culture, as well as science and research.

The funding program is exclusively aimed at nonprofit institutions, organizations, and projects pursuing a foundation-related funding purpose. The Sparkassen Foundation Doing Good focuses on numerous areas, including disaster relief, education, commitment to social cohesion, development cooperation, children and youth, as well as social affairs and environmental/nature conservation. Through this broad orientation, projects are supported that create sustainable social value. The emphasis is on promoting measures, initiatives, and cultural projects that contribute beyond the purely financial aspect to strengthening social cohesion and improving quality of life.

There is a growing awareness that sustainable social progress goes hand in hand with innovative funding approaches. The Sparkassen Foundation Doing Good enables continuous support, where the proceeds from the provided capital investment are flexibly allocated to the individual needs of interested donors. The donor network offers a straightforward way to engage on a project basis and supports initiatives that generate positive effects in areas such as sports, health, education, and nature conservation. Interested project sponsors can rely on a funding environment that, in addition to financial support, focuses on the long-term preservation and further development of socially valuable projects. Further information on funding opportunities can be found on the foundation’s official website.
