Description
Since its founding in June 2013, the LeerWittmund Foundation Community has been supporting charitable and benevolent projects in Lower Saxony. With a particular focus on assisting institutions dedicated to youth and elderly care, support for people with disabilities, arts and culture, sports, as well as residential care and local history, the initiative aims to sustainably strengthen social and cultural structures. The funding measures, provided as grants, support projects whose activities are based in the districts of Leer and Wittmund. The initiative is exclusively aimed at non-profit organizations and offers a straightforward application process that does not require complex forms.
The funding is based on flexible and continuous support, enabling institutional partners to engage in a variety of fields. Applications are to be submitted informally, thereby minimizing bureaucratic hurdles and primarily promoting innovative approaches in the social and cultural sectors. Organizations active, for example, in the areas of care, cultural education, or sports engagement will find ideal support here to sustainably finance their projects. This funding measure, designed in accordance with the tax code, is directed at all non-profit actors committed to serving the common good through their engagement.
The Foundation Community sees itself as a catalyst for societal development in the region and supports projects that strengthen community life and cultural identity. In addition to supporting initiatives for youth and elderly care, the promotion of arts, culture, and sports plays a central role. Through the continuous provision of grants, institutions are enabled to expand and professionalize their social and cultural offerings. This targeted funding contributes to sustainably consolidating and further developing social cohesion as well as the cultural heritage in the districts of Leer and Wittmund.
