Description
In Styria, there is an ongoing grant program available for film projects that covers all production phases – from script development and collaborative screenplay writing to project development and production, as well as distribution such as theatrical release, festival participation, or digital dissemination measures. Additionally, structural measures are supported, including festivals, annual activities of film cultural institutions, as well as cinema reference funding and film cultural initiatives such as film discussions or community events. Funding is provided for feature films, documentaries, short and experimental formats, as well as innovative digital projects, provided they have a verifiable connection to Styria. Eligible applicants include companies, private individuals, non-profit organizations, and public institutions based or primarily active in the region.
The funding objective aims to realize artistic visions, strengthen professional structures, and generate impulses for the regional film industry. Submission before project commencement and a complete dossier including application form, detailed project description, cost breakdown, financing plan with legally relevant documentation, and artistic CV are prerequisites. Upon approval, proof of use must be provided to document the appropriate use of funds.
