Description

Funding in the field of cross-disciplinary cultural projects supports innovative art and cultural initiatives in Styria that operate beyond traditional genre boundaries. Private individuals, non-profit organizations, interest groups, and associations receive financial support to implement multidisciplinary projects such as concerts, readings, performances, networking events, as well as international cultural cooperations. The focus is on initiatives that connect multiple artistic disciplines, promote exchange between established actors and newcomers, and sustainably enrich the region’s cultural landscape. The funding aims to generate creative synergies and establish new forms of artistic collaboration in the fields of culture and media.

Applications can be submitted at any time and must be submitted prior to the start of the project. Only projects with a proven connection to Styria are eligible for funding. Eligible applicants are artists, cultural practitioners, and cultural initiatives seeking to create impactful impulses beyond basic funding. Required documents include a precise project description, a transparent cost breakdown, a complete financing plan including legally relevant documents, as well as the artistic CV. Grant approval is granted by the Office of the Styrian Provincial Government, Department 9 Culture, Europe, Foreign Affairs. Since September 1, 2013, the measure has been valid without a time limit. Upon completion of the project, a verification of proper use of funds is planned to ensure the appropriate use of resources and to provide a basis for future decisions.
