Funding Measures for the Prevention and Reduction of Operational Noise Emissions

The funding in Upper Austria supports voluntary projects aimed at preventing and reducing operational noise emissions and is directed at companies, interest groups, associations, as well as religious institutions. With a grant of up to 30% and a maximum of €30,000 per individual case, the awareness of noise protection in everyday operational practice is to be strengthened. A prerequisite is a prior, positively assessed submission to Kommunalkredit Public Consulting GmbH, before any legally binding orders, deliveries, or construction measures are initiated. Furthermore, all measures must be planned and operated on an initiative basis, and compliant operation of the existing facility at the time of application must be demonstrated. Expenses mandated by legal obligations are excluded from funding.

Continuous application submission is possible, as there is no deadline: the funding pool remains open indefinitely. For a complete application, the completed and signed application form from the State of Upper Austria, a technical description with a cost breakdown, all necessary permits and approvals for the construction and operation of the planned facility, as well as the compilation from the federal online application are required. Processing takes place after positive evaluation and disbursement of the federal funding; the state funds are then paid out. The program’s goal is a sustainable reduction of noise pollution at business locations and thus a significant contribution to environmental, climate, and health protection in Upper Austria.
