Description
This funding program in Upper Austria supports companies, private individuals, non-profit organizations, and public institutions in voluntary investments aimed at preventing and reducing air pollution. The focus is on primary measures to reduce air pollutants, secondary measures to maximize emission reduction, as well as the reduction of dust emissions (especially PM10) at commercial and industrial facilities. Investments in emission reduction technologies, retrofitting of exhaust after-treatment systems, and optimization of filter systems at biomass plants are eligible for funding. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) benefit from a funding rate of up to 30% of eligible expenses, supplemented by possible surcharges, and receive funding of up to €100,000 per individual case. Applications can be submitted continuously and without limitation, provided the application is submitted before legally binding construction commencement, before ordering plant components, or before any other commitment. A positive assessment by Kommunalkredit Public Consulting GmbH as well as compliance with the environmental funding guidelines of the state and the corresponding federal guidelines are prerequisites.
For the application, a fully completed and signed application form from the State of Upper Austria, a detailed project description, a cost breakdown, and the summary of the online application for federal funding must be submitted. After a positive review by the expert team, a funding commitment is issued, which is then confirmed in a formal funding declaration. The state funding is disbursed upon submission of all required documents and after successful completion of the federal funding. Through this targeted support, environmental effectiveness and economic efficiency are harmonized, making a sustainable contribution to climate protection in Upper Austria.
