Description

Within the program "Funding Measures for the Prevention and Reduction of Air Pollution" in Upper Austria, voluntary investments in commercial and industrial facilities are supported. Funding is provided for primary measures to prevent air-polluting substances, secondary measures for maximum reduction, as well as targeted steps to reduce dust emissions (especially PM10). Eligible for funding are natural and legal persons, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The funding rate is up to 30 % of the recognized expenses, but no more than €100,000 per individual case. Applications can be submitted continuously until December 31, 2025, as long as budget funds are available.

The funding objective is the sustainable improvement of air quality and support of environmental and climate protection measures. Eligible expenses include, in addition to process modifications and retrofitting of filter and exhaust gas after-treatment systems, the detection of diffuse dust emissions, optimization of filter systems at biomass plants, as well as other technical installations for emission reduction. A positive decision by Kommunalkredit Public Consulting GmbH and submission of the application prior to the first legally binding order, delivery, or start of construction are prerequisites. The application requires a fully signed application form, a project description, a detailed cost breakdown, and the compilation of the federal online application. Companies that have not complied with a recovery order according to the GBER or are considered to be in difficulty are excluded. After completion, a ten-year dedication period applies, during which regional authorities may conduct control measures such as inspection of documents and on-site visits.
