Funding for control centers of emergency organizations

The funding initiative supports the establishment as well as the technical equipment of control centers of emergency organizations in Styria. Eligible applicants are non-profit organizations and public institutions whose control centers receive emergency calls in accordance with the Telecommunications Act (e.g., 122, 144) and alert emergency personnel. Funding is provided on the one hand for construction and establishment costs for new buildings or expansions of existing service centers, and on the other hand for the acquisition of modern hardware and software solutions to ensure efficient operational communication. Through continuous funding opportunities, applications can be submitted at any time, allowing for more flexible implementation of short-term planning. Technical acceptance inspections as well as the verification of invoices with original payment receipts ensure the proper use of funds and guarantee a transparent process.

This grant makes a significant contribution to strengthening disaster protection and social security in the region. It is specifically aimed at control centers that act as central coordination points and enable rapid alerting and effective operational management in the event of an emergency. A written funding application is the only requirement for submission, which has been possible without a deadline since October 15, 2013. With this funding instrument, the State Office Directorate for Disaster Protection and Civil Defense of the Styrian State Government sustainably promotes the modernization and performance of the regional operational infrastructure.
