Description

The supplementary financing provided by the Hamburg Investment and Development Bank (IFB Hamburg) offers targeted support within the framework of housing promotion in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. Designed as a low-interest loan, already subsidized rental housing projects can apply for additional funds for extensions, refinancing, co- and follow-up financing, as well as purchase price shares. Additionally, the funding enables the conversion of existing subsidized financing to KfW conditions and complements measures in new rental housing construction in cases of market failure. Companies and private individuals benefit from flexible fund provision without a fixed submission deadline and can easily submit their application online via the IFB Hamburg’s digital e-application portal.

Access to supplementary housing promotion requires an already approved base subsidy. Further prerequisites include proper management of the housing, permanent affordability of the financing burdens, and compliance with state aid regulations. Companies in difficulty are excluded. The maximum loan amount is based on the scope of the supplementary measure and the individual initial situation. With this funding opportunity, IFB Hamburg specifically supports private initiatives and developers in continuing existing subsidized loans, optimally financing renovation and new construction projects, thereby sustainably stabilizing the housing stock in Hamburg.
