Funding objective
The aim of the funding measures of the Women's Office is to improve equal opportunities in society and the workplace, eliminate existing inequalities, and make the achievements and living conditions of women in society visible. Furthermore, in the spirit of a partnership-based family, the freedom of choice for parents regarding family and employment work as a self-responsible decision is to be promoted, and other concerns of women, particularly in the fields of economy, finance, health, and social services, are to be improved.

Description
The funding measures of the Women's Office of the State of Vorarlberg are aimed at private individuals, interest groups, other associations, as well as non-profit organizations that wish to implement creative projects for the promotion of women and in the field of work & social affairs within the state. As a non-repayable grant, funds totaling approximately 0.7 million euros are available annually to support projects aimed at improving equal opportunities in society and the workplace and reducing existing inequalities. Initiatives that make the achievements and living conditions of women visible, strengthen the equitable division of family and employment responsibilities, and advance specific women-related concerns in the economy, finance, health, or social sectors are supported.
Eligible to apply are all actors based in Vorarlberg who submit a written application. A prerequisite for approval is that the project’s content aligns with the program priorities of equal opportunities, elimination of inequalities, and strengthening parents’ freedom of choice. An informal written application including a project description and financing plan is sufficient to participate in the annually opened selection process. The procedure has been ongoing without limitation since 01.01.2018 and offers tailored support for innovative concepts that make a tangible contribution to the living and working conditions of women and promote partnership within families. Selection is carried out by the Department of Women and Equality of the Vorarlberg State Government, which evaluates the effectiveness and sustainability of the submitted projects. Approved measures are documented in an annual funding report, thereby contributing to the program’s transparency.
