Description

The Youth Foundation of Sparkasse Karlsruhe strengthens science education offerings in the Baden-Württemberg region through the program "RESEARCH and EXPERIMENT." Educational institutions, public sponsors, and non-profit organizations can receive grants at any time to offer pedagogically prepared STEM courses for children and adolescents. The focus is particularly on primary school classes, which are introduced to physics, chemistry, and biology through experimental and investigative approaches. The funding supports exemplary institutions such as the Children's Chemistry Lab at the Karlsruhe University of Education, the experimental courses at the Natural History Museum, or the Physics Teaching and Learning Laboratory "PHyLa," with the goal of providing child-friendly access to scientific questions.

Projects are funded that demonstrate verifiable activity in the scientific field within the Sparkasse Karlsruhe’s service area and offer specially prepared courses for young researchers. The continuous submission of applications creates flexibility in the design and implementation of workshops, laboratory tours, or research projects. Through this initiative, the foundation makes an important contribution to fostering early enthusiasm for science and innovation and promotes sustainable interest in STEM topics among children and adolescents in Karlsruhe.
