Research & Teaching – Funding by the Olgäle Foundation for the Sick Child e.V.

The Olgäle Foundation for Sick Children e.V. specifically supports projects in Baden-Württemberg in the areas of health, research & innovation, as well as education and training. Non-profit and charitable organizations, public institutions, and educational providers can submit grant applications on an ongoing basis. The focus is on measures that contribute to the mental and physical recovery of sick children while simultaneously optimizing patient safety. Funding is provided, among other things, for seed financing of research projects, equipment for simulation training, and the financing of research positions. A prerequisite is proven activity in the context of pediatric healthcare as well as status as a tax-privileged institution.

With its funding program, the foundation primarily supports physicians, nursing professionals, research teams, and scientific institutions in continuously expanding their competencies and translating innovative findings into practice. Through targeted financing of simulation training and professional qualification measures, medical procedures can be practiced in a realistic manner, thereby improving the quality of care. In parallel, scientific studies and pilot projects are intended to provide impulses for new treatment approaches. The flexible submission deadlines enable continuous project starts and ensure timely responses to current needs.
