Primarily, early-career researchers up to ten years after completing their doctorate are to be supported. The submitting organization's headquarters must be located in the federal state of Salzburg; in exceptional cases, a thematic connection to Salzburg may be sufficient.

Description
The funding initiative Research in the Spotlight | Publications strengthens the scientific and innovation landscape in the state of Salzburg by financially supporting research institutions and publishing houses in their publication efforts. The target group is primarily early-career researchers up to ten years after completing their doctorate who wish to make their results accessible to a broad specialist audience. At the same time, the program supports established institutions and publishers based in Salzburg or with a thematic connection to the region. For each project idea, a grant of up to €5,000 is available, which, with a funding rate of 100%, covers printing and distribution costs or digital publication preparation.
The submission window for applications is open from March 1, 2024, to December 31, 2027. A prerequisite for approval is an organizational location in Salzburg or a verifiable connection to Salzburg, as well as submission by a research institution or a publisher. With this funding measure, the state of Salzburg specifically supports the visibility of research results and contributes to ensuring that innovative findings from universities, institutes, and specialist publishers are published in a timely manner and offered to an international readership. Interested institutions and early-career researchers can easily submit their applications via the central funding platform of the state of Salzburg and thus actively contribute to the further development of science and research in the region.
