Description
The funding program “Forestry Measures” of the Thuringian Ministry of Infrastructure and Agriculture supports silvicultural and nature conservation-oriented projects in private and corporate forests of Thuringia. In the fields of environment/nature conservation, climate protection, agriculture & rural development, regional promotion, as well as energy efficiency, private, non-profit, and municipal forest owners as well as forestry enterprises receive financial grants for measures related to forest preservation, forest maintenance, and development. Funding can be applied for continuously and without bureaucratic hurdles through the responsible forestry office, ensuring the sustainable implementation of management concepts on a permanent basis.
A prerequisite for funding is ownership of verified forest areas in Thuringia and compliance with the applicable Thuringian funding guidelines. Applications are submitted exclusively through one of the 24 joint forestry offices of ThüringenForst – AöR, where professional advice and the necessary proof of use as well as payment requests are also available. Transparent reporting and accounting documents ensure efficient processing. The program makes an important contribution to the preservation of biodiversity, the strengthening of rural regions, and the adaptation of forests to climate change by promoting forward-looking maintenance and protection concepts, thereby securing the ecological stability and economic viability of Thuringian forests.
