Description
The Hety and Benno Runnebaum Foundation supports qualified women in Germany who have already completed a doctorate or work in medical-related professions through individual grants during the dissertation phase, career entry, and professional development. Scientific excellence and research potential are evaluated alongside commitment to a vibrant alumni network and mentoring of future generations of grantees. Applications can be submitted electronically at any time; required documents include a curriculum vitae, a photograph (JPEG), a project description, relevant certificates and references, as well as a publication list. For conference participation, a summary of the presentation or poster and a cost and financing plan must also be included. Selection is made by the foundation through a personal awarding process focusing on the sustainable promotion of medical-related expertise.
In parallel, the foundation contributes to strengthening basic medical care in India and Ukraine. Women in rural areas gain access to medication, medical advice, and structured training and education for nurses and social workers. The goal is to create long-term independent livelihood prospects and to consolidate local health infrastructure. This international component complements the national promotion of women and underscores the foundation’s holistic mission to realize equal opportunities in science, health, and social work. Interested women can apply for funding at any time and become part of a cross-border network that combines professional competence and social commitment.
