With a funding rate of 100% and support of up to €5,000 over a period of up to 36 months, club structures can be expanded, recognition systems established, and digital solutions implemented to facilitate volunteer work. The funding areas include sports & exercise, social cohesion and democracy, social affairs, as well as culture & media. It is exclusively aimed at holistic projects and excludes individual measures in order to achieve sustainable changes in club life and develop long-term strategies for member retention.
Eligible costs include, among others, fees, personnel costs, material as well as travel and transportation expenses, external consulting, internal structural development measures, equipment, appreciation events, and honors. Key selection criteria include a clear needs orientation, a comprehensible concept, structure, sustainability, a significant proportion of volunteers, the involvement of young club members, and already initiated engagement processes. Eligible to apply are non-profit sports clubs and small sports associations based in Lower Saxony; own funds are not required.
