Description

The Foundation for Remembrance and Peace supports nationwide national and international initiatives by young people aged 12 to 27 through its "Peace Projects" program, who engage intensively with the traces and experiences of war and tyranny. Funded are creative educational formats, workshops, exhibitions, and commemorative events that keep remembrance and memorial alive and translate it into a clear call for peace. The focus is on interdisciplinary approaches from the fields of education, commitment to social cohesion and democracy, as well as vocational and further training. Through financial support in the form of grants, private initiatives, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions are enabled to realize sustainable projects that transfer historical themes into contemporary formats and contribute to reconciliation.

Particularly interested are adolescents and young adults between 12 and 27 years old who wish to independently plan and implement projects. A prerequisite for funding is a thematic engagement with experiences of war or the objective of remembrance, memorial, and a call for peace. Applications can be submitted at any time, ensuring flexible project planning without fixed deadlines. The inclusive orientation creates an open space for diverse perspectives, where participants can strengthen their commitment and develop new forms of active culture of remembrance. The foundation thus provides a continuous impetus for forward-looking discussions and initiatives that promote peace and deepen democratic awareness.
