Description

The program "Early Intervention for Children with Disabilities, Bgld ChG" is aimed at children with disabilities from birth until school age in Burgenland, as well as their familial and social environment. It provides subsidies for medically necessary and scientifically recognized early intervention measures, including visual and auditory early intervention, with the goal of preventing or reducing impairments as early as possible. Through targeted interventions and scientifically based approaches, the funding supports the developmental potential of the children and strengthens the competencies of parents, siblings, and caregiving reference persons in dealing with developmental disorders and disability-related behavioral abnormalities.

Eligible for funding are Austrian citizens, asylum beneficiaries, and permanently settled foreigners with at least five years of lawful residence, provided that their main residence and actual stay are in Burgenland. Applications can be submitted indefinitely from 01.10.2024 onwards; all documents listed in the official application form must be submitted for this purpose. Cost coverage extends to visual and auditory support as well as other medically necessary early intervention measures not already covered by the Burgenland Child Education and Care Act. Responsible contact points are the district administrations and magistrates of the statutory cities in Burgenland. With transparent regulations and continuous support, the state of Burgenland promotes equal opportunities and contributes to the sustainable improvement of the quality of life of children with disabilities and their families.
