Description
With the new funding format from the Heinrich Dammann Foundation and Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts, voluntarily engaged young people in Lower Saxony are specifically supported in turning a creative idea into a feasible project. Groups of two to five participants aged 12 to 27 receive intensive project coaching from students of Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts as well as a full-day workshop (March 28, 2026, Hannover). During this, the young people jointly develop a robust concept, create a realistic cost and financing plan, and define the next implementation steps. To cover project costs, a funding amount of up to €1,000 per group is available—with a 100% funding rate. Catering, travel expenses, and accommodation for longer journeys are included. Selection is based on the order of application receipt and the substantive persuasiveness of the submitted video.
Interested groups submit a short application video (max. 3 minutes) presenting the project idea, group composition, and motivation for participation, along with the completed application form and bank details. Prerequisites for funding are voluntary activity, compliance with age and group requirements, and participation in the workshop day in Hannover. As long as places are available, young volunteers can submit their documents on a “first come, first served” basis and thus secure the chance for professional support and financial assistance. This offer is expressly aimed at all young people who want to use their ideas for social benefit and strengthen cohesion in the Lower Saxony region.
