Description

The Anna Haag Foundation gGmbH supports intergenerational projects at the Anna Haag Multigenerational House in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt that bring children, adolescents, and seniors together on equal footing. Under the motto “Community of Generations,” diverse offerings are created such as intergenerational breakfasts, creative workshops, themed weeks, pottery courses, and joint excursions. These encounters promote social learning, enhance quality of life, and open new perspectives for all age groups. The foundation continuously solicits donations and funding to enrich daily interactions and to shape a vibrant, inclusive neighborhood in Baden-Württemberg. As the oldest multigenerational house in Germany, the facility unites a daycare center, educational programs for young people with special needs, and a senior center under one roof, thus providing versatile points of connection for cross-generational engagement.

Non-profit organizations are funded to support the organization and implementation of intergenerational activities through grants. Eligible expenses include material and in-kind costs for workshops and events as well as logistics and venue costs. Thanks to flexible funding allocation, new project ideas can be implemented promptly and existing offerings can be secured on a long-term basis. Interested associations and providers benefit from continuous calls for proposals without fixed deadlines and a straightforward application process. The goal is to sustainably strengthen the interaction between children, adolescents, and seniors, promote social cohesion, and actively involve both young and older people in the neighborhood life of Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt.
