Generation Network Dissen / Bad Rothenfelde

The Generation Network Dissen / Bad Rothenfelde promotes intergenerational assistance services that strengthen social cohesion in Lower Saxony. Through a grant of up to 100%, the Dissen Foundation supports private individuals and non-profit organizations in facilitating practical neighborhood help: from shopping and accompaniment to medical appointments to technical support with computers and smartphones. Additionally, the "Painting Workshop" invites children aged 8–12 and seniors to participate in joint creative projects, producing canvas paintings and ceramic objects. Shared experiences foster exchange between generations and contribute to the resilience of the social fabric in Dissen and Bad Rothenfelde.

Interested volunteers and those seeking assistance residing or staying in the mentioned municipalities can submit funding applications on an ongoing basis – applications are accepted at any time. Target groups are especially seniors as well as families with children of primary school age who wish to provide or receive practical support. Voluntary engagement strengthens local networks and promotes the cohesion of the urban community.
