Description
The ten-day German-Japanese Young Leaders Forum will bring together eight promising young professionals from Germany and Japan, aged 25 to 35, in Berlin in the summer of 2026. In interdisciplinary working groups, politically and socially relevant topics will be developed to deepen mutual understanding and promote sustainable cooperation across national borders. Expert lectures from specialists in politics, business, and civil society, as well as institutional visits, provide the foundation for exchange and network building. The goal is to strengthen the participants' leadership potential and initiate long-term partnerships between Japan and Germany.
Participation in the forum is fully funded through sponsorship by the Japanese-German Center Berlin (JDZB): travel expenses, accommodation, and meals are covered 100%. Eligible to apply are individuals, companies, and public institutions that recommend suitable candidates. Requirements include an age between 25 and 35 years, fluent English skills, and a letter of recommendation from the current employer or sending institution. Applications must include a completed application form, a current CV, and an official letter of recommendation. Selection is based on professional diversity, leadership suitability, and language proficiency. A new call for applications will be published shortly to provide interested parties the opportunity to submit all documents.
