Description

In Salzburg, annual grants are provided under the umbrella of socially compensatory health projects for initiatives in the fields of health as well as work & social affairs. Eligible for funding are non-profit organizations, associations, or interest groups that can demonstrate a direct connection to the federal state. The goal is to offer sustainable support to individuals in psychosocially stressful situations through empowerment and setting-based approaches. Applications must be submitted by June 1st each year for the following calendar year. In addition to statutes and bylaws, a financing plan, annual budget, detailed project description with objectives, measures and timeline, as well as data protection and usage documentation must be provided. Compliance with the guidelines of the Salzburg Regional Health Directorate and the general regulations of the state forms the basis for timely approval and accounting.

Funding Objective: The projects should strengthen psychosocial competence, promote self-determination and personal responsibility, and enable health-related counseling and therapeutic care in challenging life situations. Eligible expenses include personnel costs, operating costs, and other project-related expenditures. During evaluation, equal opportunities, participation, networking, sustainability, and innovation approach are considered alongside the added value achieved. An evaluation is a mandatory component of the measure to assess effectiveness and efficiency. This creates a regional network of experts that combines reflection, prevention, and assistance in diverse settings (e.g., community, school, workplace). Through this integrative approach, the program makes a substantial contribution to improved health care in the federal state of Salzburg.
